CSV Splitter: Split Large CSV Files Online

Excel stops at 1,048,576 rows, CRMs and mailing tools cap an import at 10,000 contacts or 10 MB, and Google Sheets gives up long before either. When an export is bigger than the place it has to go, it has to be cut. Pick the CSV, choose how, and download the parts: a fixed number of rows per file, the file cut into a number of equal parts, parts that stay under a size you set, or one file for every value of a column, such as one file per city, dealer, category or month.

Every part is a valid CSV on its own. The header row is repeated at the top of each file, rows are never cut in half, and quoted fields that contain the delimiter or a line break stay intact. The delimiter is detected (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe) and kept, and the encoding is detected too: files saved by Excel on a Turkish or Western European Windows are read correctly and written back as UTF-8, with a byte-order mark if you want the parts to open in Excel with their accented letters in place.

Everything happens in your browser. The file is read in a stream on your own device, so a 500 MB export is not a 500 MB upload and a customer list stays where it is. Before you split, a preview of the first rows shows whether the columns and letters came out right; after, the list of parts shows how many rows and bytes each one has. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP.

Files up to 1 GB are accepted. One file up to 50 MB a day is free; a credit pack, a 24-hour pass or a subscription covers larger files and more splits, shared with the other tools on the site.
